1-monoglycerides for fish and shrimp
(European patent number EP 2 410 871 B1)
A new tool for aquaculture.
Economic profit in farming salmon, sturgeon, trout, see bass, see bream, catfish, tilapia, eel, perc, carp, shrimp and crab can be negatively affected by stress, adverse conditions, nutritional unbalance and harmful bacteria that cause mortality, unfavourable feed conversion ratio, insufficient growth.
Vibrio parahaemolyticus, Vibrio mimicus, Aeromonas hydrophyla, Aeromonas salmonicida, Streptococcus uberis, Pseudomonas dermoalba, Pseudomonas anguilliseptica, Flavobacterium columnare, Tenacibaculum maritimum, Photobacterium damsale, Vibrio alginolyticus, Yersinis ruckeri, Bacillus cereus, are among the most frequently reported causes of loss of productivity and mortality.
SILO R&D, in scientific collaboration with the Public animal Health Institute “Bruno Ubertini”, developed specific composition of 1-Monoglycerides for keeping the optimal survival rate, SGR and FCR in marine, freshwater fish and in crustaceans, also in presence of stress, adverse conditions and resistant harmful bacterial and bacteriophage challenge.
