Myostatin Control

MYOSTATIN CONTROL is a complementary feed composed of Glycerides of Short and Medium Chain Fatty Acids for beef cattle that can be used in all farming conditions to improve the digestibility of starch and fibers and significantly increase the productive performance, in particular the muscle development.

MYOSTATIN CONTROL acts in a totally natural way at three levels:

  • EOn metabolic dynamics by limiting the production of myostatin and increasing the production of muscle fiber and meat yield;
  • EOn the rumen functions by increasing the number of cellulolytic bacteria and exponentially improving the degradation of the fiber;
  • EIn the intestine by modulating the intestinal microbiota and increasing the resistance against coccidosis, Clostridium perfringens, E. coli, Salmonella.

The modulation of Myostatin

Myostatin is a protein produced in muscle by myocytes that regulate myogenesis.
The decrease in myostatin levels leads to a significant increase in muscle mass.
Studies conducted by the University of Guelph have found that a specific composition of Mono-Di-Triglycerides of fatty acids decreases the level of myostatin up to 50%, and significantly improves the muscle mass and body conformation of animals of various species.

In beef cattle we observe an increase in muscle mass by +7-10% compared to the control groups.
